Word credits (from purchased packs or your monthly subscription allowance) are used based on the number of words you provide as input for SelfProse to process. This includes the text samples you submit to create or refine your Writing Personas, as well as any text you input for features like analysis, rewriting, translation, ghostwriting. To keep things clear, the estimated word cost for an action is typically shown on a badge near the relevant button before you commit. This feature is on by default, but you can choose to turn it off in your account settings if you prefer.

You can access SelfProse directly through any modern web browser on your desktop, laptop, or mobile device – no installation is required for basic use. For more convenient access on your phone or tablet, you can also install SelfProse as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which functions much like a native app. Regarding a browser extension, we are currently exploring this possibility. Its development and release will depend largely on user feedback and demand.
